Dr. Johnson completed his undergraduate at degree at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University. Dr. Johnson completed his undergraduate at degree at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University. Following dental school Dr. Johnson completed his pediatric dental residency program at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and later received a certificate in Clinical Bioethics from the Medical College of Wisconsin and a certificate in Business Ethics from the University of New Mexico.
Besides establishing Interior Alaska’s first pediatric dental practice, Dr. Johnson has served on the Medical Care Advisory Committee for Alaska’s Medicaid program and as a board member with the Interior Community Health Center. Besides various elected medical staff positions at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, Dr. Johnson and his wife have served as volunteers for several Interior Alaska youth organizations. His professional affiliations include the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Alaska Dental Society.

Dr. Metroka is a board-certified pediatric dentist who received his undergraduate degree from Temple University. He then attended Temple University School of Dentistry for his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Metroka was accepted into the pediatric dental residency program at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Since completing his pediatric dental residency, Dr. Metroka has taught at Temple University School of Dentistry and at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. While teaching, he became a member of the Craniofacial / Cleft Palate team at St. Christopher’s where he treated numerous Cleft Lip & Palate children.
Dr. Metroka maintains a private pediatric dental practice where he has worked since graduating from his residency program.
Dr. Metroka is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
He believes in encouraging children to be motivated about their oral health and strives to provide a fun and relaxed positive experience. In this way, he builds trust and long-term relationships with patients and their families.
